—— Answer 34
On Day 34 of the Lunar New Year
You said that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is in Tibetan esoteric Buddhism. That is an erroneous understanding. You have so little knowledge about the concept of Buddha. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a Buddha, not a founding patriarch of a particular denomination or school in the sense of lineages from patriarchs. What H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III propagates and advocates are the Buddhist teachings and Dharmas that are as complete as those of Sakyamuni Buddha’s and are free of any patriarchal or sectarian views.
In 2017, some evil individuals in the society attempted to defame and slander H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and sued H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in court. The court, being the highest institute with jurisdiction over Buddhism in the world, reached its final decision in Judgement No. 3 of 2018, which concluded that the matters and causes the suit had brought on were all groundless fabrications. The definitive judgment says that “the teachings and the truth expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are of the same system as those of Sakyamuni Buddha’s, which are pure Buddhist teachings and Buddha Dharma.”
What H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III upholds is pure and true Buddhism and not the teachings and Dharmas of a particular denomination or school. For that reason, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was unanimously recognized and corroborated as a Buddha by the dharma kings and rinpoches of all the major Buddhist sects in the world. His Holiness the Buddha is also the only Buddha people have recognized as such in Buddhist history over 2,000 years. A Buddha is the highest leader and the upholder of the entire Buddhism and not a great dharma king of a single sect. A great dharma king or rinpoche of a sect may be recognized within that sect, but not by the leaders or the regent dharma kings of all denominations. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is recognized in the same way as Sakyamuni Buddha is revered and worshiped by all the Buddhist sects and schools. A Buddha does not belong to any particular sect or school and is the Buddha of the entire Buddhism.
