Achievements In Five Vidyas

What are the Five Vidyas?

BUDDHA SAID IN THE BUDDHIST SUTRAS THAT BUDDHAS AND BODHISATTVAS ARE TO BE FOUND WITH THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE FIVE VIDYAS.

Traditionally, the vidyas are divided into the five major vidyas and the five minor vidyas. The five major vidyas are the silpakarmasthanavidya (craftsmanship vidya), the cikitsvidya (healing vidya), the sabdavidya (sound vidya), the hetuvidya (causality or Buddhist logic vidya), and the adhyatmavidya (inner realization vidya). The five minor vidyas are rhetoric, ornate diction, prosody, dramaturgy, and astronomy. Actually, the Five Vidyas are not that narrow. Everything in the universe can be classified into five aspects of brightness and darkness. To develop everything that is good in the universe and that benefits living beings is classified as bright. That which confuses and is bad is classified as dark. This is the real meaning of the Five Vidyas (Five Bright) of which the Buddha spoke. -Venerable Akou Lamo Rinpoche

Below are a small part of the achievements in the five vidyas by
H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

A Rock Of Horizontal Charm

A Rock of Horizontal Charm by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

The sculpture A Rock of Horizontal Charm is a masterpiece of Yun Sculpture, embodying the spirit of an art surpassing the beauty of nature, created by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III for humankind. Derived from an art form created by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III that possesses beauty beyond nature’s, it has attained a realm –never before seen in human history – of artistry transcending nature, originating an art form in this world that is irreplicable by any craftsman or high technology.

Granted, more than ten years ago, we had already heard someone call a particular sculpture a “peerless treasure.” To speak truthfully, however, we could not concur with such an appellation. “Peerless” is not a word to use lightly. Only that which is truly in a league of its own in the world can properly be called peerless. A “peerless treasure” must attain the pinnacle of unrivaled preciousness in order to be so named. From ancient times to the present, how many sculptures can truly be christened a peerless treasure? It can be said that not even one can be found. Even the He Shi Bi (the Jade Disc of He), recorded in history as a treasure of monumental value, does not fit the title of “peerless treasure,” since it is completely replicable— and if it can be replicated, it is not unique; if it is not unique, it is not peerless. In fact, any master sculptor’s magnum opus can be recreated and, on this basis alone, is unfit to be designated a “peerless treasure”!

Our most indelible encounter with the appellation of “peerless treasure” came in 2017, when we saw the sculpture A Rock of Horizontal Charm for the first time. We were immediately awestruck, and in the moment we were simply moved to praise it from the heart, unable to find the most appropriate laurel with which to crown it, and could only pronounce that the laurel of “peerless treasure” belongs to no other! Therefore, this museum has named the room in which A Rock of Horizontal Charm is exhibited, “Peerless Treasure.” Just how remarkable is this sculpture? We must acknowledge that its extraordinary charm and beauteous spirit exceeds the highest realm of human sculpture, and truly manifests

Endless changes of spirit and feelings unfold
Mysterious motions envelop wonders untold
Only in heaven is such a presence found
No handiwork of artisan earthly bound

This divine sculpture is ranked the first, as the “emperor,” and will be shown to the public for the first time; while the second-ranked empress, Mystery of Lovely Colors, is exhibited in the Treasury of the International Art Museum of America; and the fourth-ranked little princess Yellow Yellow has been hailed by a viewer —during its exhibition at the Gold Room of a Congressional House office building on Capitol Hill— as “a gift from God to mankind.” These Wondrous Multicolored Sculptures are treasures of art irreplicable by any craftsman, expert, or high technology.

For the first time in the world, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has created an irreplicable art, and one can only say that when the Yun Sculpture appears, the most gorgeous jewels of the world lose their luster, just as the stars all pale against the resplendent moon. Its beauty is truly soul-enrapturing.

All-Star Assembly of Famous Paintings at Global Art Center New York Inspires Fierce Bidding Wars; Gianguan Produces Staggeringly High Auction Price

Ink Lotus by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

In late March, global art center New York teems with jewelry, antiques, calligraphy, and paintings, as Sotheby’s, Gianguan, Christie’s and others hold their spring auctions. Spectacular jewels, and painting and calligraphy by famed artists past and present, vie for the attention, drawing in crowds of investors and collectors. The international economic slump of recent years has strained business livelihood and development; as real estate, steel and other industries across the board flounder and lose revenue, business groups have turned to the art market en masse to invest, anticipating future appreciation.

The artworks auctioned this spring consist almost exclusively of works by world-renowned masters, marking the first time in auction history in which so many major artists are gathered together. At the site of auction, the kaleidoscopic diversity of styles, modes, and aesthetics wowed viewers and sent buyers from all countries into a bidding frenzy. Of all of the works, however, one particular piece has been deemed supreme in both merit and value: “Ink Lotus— An utter chaos strewn with broken strokes: a peculiar sight, yet wondrously endowed with a soul-soothing charm,” by the contemporary H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. When the appraiser first unfurled the scroll and saw the painting, he declared with astonishment: “Dorje Chang Buddha III has arrived”— a revealing sign of the extreme prestige of H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s paintings.

Paintings and calligraphy by H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are difficult to come by, and even more difficult to acquire. According to auction specialists, the International Art Museum of America has offered to purchase H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s sunflower and water lily oil paintings for over $1,000,000 per square foot, but has yet to acquire the paintings due to unsuccessful price negotiations.

H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s “Ink Lotus,” sold at Gianguan’s spring auctions on March 22nd, was the highest selling of all of the paintings sold at the spring auctions— including Gianguan, Sotheby’s and Christie’s— surpassing multiple times that of works by renowned artists East and West, past and present, and trumping the selling price of all works by famed historical and contemporary masters sold at the spring auction, such as those of Shi Tao, Wu Changshuo, Yun Nantian, Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, Xu Beihong, Fu Baoshi, Pan Tianshou, Li Keran, Huang Binhong, Wu Guanzhong, and even the Five Dynasties’ Juran, the Southern Song Dynasty’s Su Hanchen, and the Ming/Qing Dynasty Wen Zhengming, and Zheng Banqiao. Buyers from various countries launched a bidding war over H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s painting, which opened at US$10,500,000. After several intense rounds of paddle-raising among the final few bidders, an approximately sixty-year-old Caucasian from the United States finally beat out his competitors and fellow bidders (hailing from Paris and Southeast Asia), and won the painting at the hammer price of US$16,500,000 (before tax).

“Ink Lotus” is mounted, ink on paper, and ten square feet in size. Sold at US$1,650,000 per square foot, the painting was the highest-selling of all the paintings and works of calligraphy sold at the spring auctions.

At this spring auction, Zhang Daqian’s “Shen Shan Can Gu Si” auctioned for US$233,000; Pan Tianshou’s “Ting Yuan Wan Lai Qiu” auctioned for US$162,500; Wu Changshuo’s “Ju Shi” auctioned for US$370,000; Shi Tao’s “Shi Shu Hua San Jue” auctioned for US$3,946,000; and Zheng He’s calligraphy of Buddhist sutra auctioned for US$14,000,000. Not only did H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s painting exceed the selling price of paintings by famed historical and contemporary artists sold at the spring auction, H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s limited edition reproductions also hold the record for the highest-selling painting reproduction in world history, exceeding those of such world-renowned painters as Picasso, Monet, Van Gough, Cézanne, and Gauguin. H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s limited edition of 200 copies of “Carp in a Lotus Pond,” for instance, auctioned at $380,000 dollars for one piece.

H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a world-class master artist, as well as the highest world leader of Buddhism—a title neither self-appointed nor unilaterally proclaimed by any individual religion or group: in 2012 the United States Senate unanimously voted to approve the resolution to honor H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s contribution to humanity, and conferred the title of His Holiness upon Dorje Chang Buddha III. H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is also the only Buddha in the world to have a Buddha Day—“H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day,” proclaimed in writing by the mayor of Washington D. C. on January 19th, 2011. The USPS approved the issuance of a commemorative envelope in honor of H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day. H. H Dorje Chang Buddha III has also received countless awards, including the World Peace Prize, the Presidential Gold Medal, the Congressional Republican Gold Medal, the International Leader Award, and the Martin Luther King Award, among others. H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is also a Fellow of Britain’s Royal Academy of Arts, and the only Fellow appointed in the Academy’s two hundred year history. The fellowship was awarded by the Academy’s President Phillip King, at a ceremony in the British Embassy in Washington. Furthermore, H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s paintings are rare and hard to come by, as they are almost never found in circulation in society. All originals feature a three-dimensional fingerprint as authentication. Experts predict that H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s paintings will become increasingly valuable and unattainable gems with the prestige of national treasures, since H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is focusing solely on Buddhist activities, and will no longer pursue painting.

Dragon Carp Frolic In A Lotus Pond

The Dragon Carp Frolic in a Lotus Pond painted by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is appraised as a world treasure of outstanding quality, a peerless and sublime work of art. It is extremely wonderful, for what looks like detailed fine brushwork in it is actually derived from freehand brushwork. Even the small touches can be freehand brushwork depictions of lively charm. All of the six major parts composing this painting – the carp, the lotus leaves, the lotus root, the floating grass, the quality of the water, and the flowers are the fruits of hard work. The painting accomplishes a spellbound and miraculous state that is inimitable. In fact, both the artistic conception of and the prices for paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III have reached the topmost level in the world.

This paining is on a permanent exhibition at the Hall Of Fish Paintings By Famous Artists located at 170 E School St., Covina, CA USA. In 2016, someone offered US$60 million to purchase this painting. However, out of concern that once an art collector owns that painting the public will certainly not have any opportunity to appreciate it, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III rejected the offer and provided the painting for display permanently.

Vocal Mastery

Music by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

Because H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a true ancient Buddha, His Holinesss accomplishments are limitless and countless. If categorized into worldly branches of learning, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is a scientist, writer, philosopher, healer, artist, and great master of many other fields. His Holiness is also a vocalist whose songs are unique masterpieces. Whether singing in a robust, resonant, stirring, and thunderous manner, or in a quietly elegant, floating, light, sweet, and captivating manner, His Holinesss vocal performances are marvelous and heavenly. His Holinesss songs and lyrics contain true Buddha-dharma. They teach goodness, impart wisdom, and benefit people. Moreover, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III composes the melody, writes the lyrics, and sings these songs all by Himself. There are many audiotapes and CDs of these songs. Even expert vocalists have sought the guidance of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III on singing. An example of this is a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III by the name of Jacky Cheung, who is known as a tremendous singer.

Chinese Paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

There have been numerous talented artists throughout the history of Chinese painting. They have produced countless magnificent paintings that have contributed to the excellent Chinese culture. But most of the great artists throughout the ages have tended to specialize in one particular skill, style, or subject matter. Those who excelled at landscape painting were rarely proficient in flower and bird painting. Those who were proficient in flower and bird painting were rarely adept at figure painting; and so on and so forth. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, however, is proficient in all subject matters—whether landscape, flowers and birds, animals, fish, insects, or figures. With respect to artistic techniques, he has excelled at meticulous painting, freehand brushwork, splash-ink style, and many others. In all of these areas, His Holiness has demonstrated real traditional skills and originality.

These characteristics of His Holiness’s paintings have long ago been confirmed by art experts and collectors. In 2000, paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III entitled “Majesty” and “Venerable Da Li Won” sold at an international auction for US$2,125,327 and US$2,207,912, respectively. At that time, those sales set new records for the highest priced painting of any living oriental artist in the world as well as the highest priced Chinese paintings ever sold at an auction. Various media reported on those two sales and praised H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III as a consummate artist who is unprecedented in the history of Chinese painting.

In 2007, a painting by His Holiness of lotus flowers entitled “Two Flowers; One Lotus Capsule; One Dharma Nature” sold for U.S.$300,000 per square foot. That painting contains His Holiness’s signature in the form of the two Chinese characters “Wan Ko”, His Holiness’s fingerprint, and His Holiness’s calligraphy and paintings seal. A plum blossom painting by His Holiness sold for U.S.$210,000 per square foot. That painting contains His Holiness’s signature in the form of the two Chinese characters “Wan Ko” and His Holiness’s fingerprint. There is another painting by His Holiness entitled “Pasture in Spring (A Sheppard Boy Herding Cattle).” On that painting His Holiness inscribed in Chinese characters “Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu.” That painting also contains His Holiness’s fingerprint and dharma king seal. It truly is a rare and precious work of art. Although an offer was made to purchase that painting for U.S.$540,000 per square foot, that offer was lower than the selling price set by the International Buddhism Sangha Association of U.S.$900,000 per square foot. Thus, the sale was not consummated.

In the Spring of 2015, the Ink Lotus by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was auctioned in New York for $16.5 Million. That set the highest auction price in history per square footage, considering that the painting is only 10 feet in area.

In his art, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has indeed assimilated the essence of traditional Chinese painting. Not only has His Holiness learned from the painting traditions of Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasty scholars, His Holiness has also easily mastered the grand and vigorous style of pre-Song Dynasty painting. Yet, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has not merely emulated the techniques of any one painter or any one school. His Holiness has learned from ancient artistry and has also learned from nature. Combining the two, His Holiness has created a novel and unique style of his own. From a careful examination of paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, it is not difficult to see the legacy of tradition and the spirit of originality.

The Vajra Needle

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva

In applying this vajra needle that eliminates illness, the Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is the Yidam, and the Horse Head Vajra Deity (a transformation body of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva) manifests awesome power. That is why the Chinese people call it “Galloping Horse Wonderful Needle.” It is a healing technique specially used to cure people’s illnesses. Currently, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the only one who possesses this dharma.

The powerful effects of this needle are miraculous. Various effects are produced according to the particular mudra and mantra H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III applies. This needle is able to open all of the body’s joints and acupuncture points. People who receive this treatment experience power moving through their body. No matter how strong a patient’s power of resistance may be, as soon as H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III increases the power of the mudra, the patient will immediately feel as if his internal organs were on fire and will fall to the ground screaming in pain. It is clear that people do not have the power to offer resistance to the effects of this needle.

This needle can easily cure yin deficiency and yang excess relating to the liver, gall, kidneys, spleen, and lungs; qi (vital energy)-blood disharmony; harm done to the internal organs; and other strange illnesses resulting from the six meridians or imbalance among the four great elements. After Zhuang Zigong personally experienced the Galloping Horse Wonderful Needle treatment, he wrote the following words in the book Master Yi Yungao (Master Yi Yungao is H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III):

“Galloping Horse Wonderful Needle is a unique healing technique of Buddhism requiring special powers, and it is used to cure people of their illnesses. It is said that common people cannot master this technique. In order to apply this technique, one must have reached a very high state of training in the Vajra Fist Dharma of esoteric Buddhism. One must also have entered the phase that transcends the generation and completion phases. Through special skills, one produces a power that adjusts the “external four great elements.” (earth, water, fire, and wind) One then uses one’s concentration powers to bring about needle treatment reactions that course through the body like a galloping horse. Additionally, one must use thought to guide the “internal four great elements” of the patient’s body so that his body undergoes acute changes in an instant. Using the energy channels and acupuncture points, the obstructions of illness are expelled one after another. Why does that treatment produce such amazing effects? It has to do with the ultimate truths of the universe.”

Zigong Zhuang went on to describe his experience when H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu Holiest Tathagata treated him with the Galloping Horse Wonderful Needle: “I saw the Master1 take out a thin, long silver needle. He sat facing me about two meters away. He then tossed the needle, which entered the acupuncture point on my left leg called yang ling quan. At that time, there was no unusual feeling in my body. I just felt the needle shaking continuously. As the Master’s mudras changed, so did my reactions. He shouted “swell!” and my entire body generated a swelling feeling. He shouted “tingle!” and my entire body instantly produced tingling sensations. He shouted “cold!” and the inside of my body at once felt as if I had entered an ice cellar.

“The Master then uttered something unintelligible, and I heard a loud boom in my head. It seemed as if my body had quickly swelled. The inside of my body felt like a sudden violent storm accompanied by thunder, lightening, and surging rivers and seas. It was an astonishing and shocking experience. Then, it seemed as if wind and fire were fast approaching before my eyes. The wind was helping the strength of the fire, and the fire was adding to the power of the wind. In an instant, I was being tormented by internal and external forces. I perspired profusely and was almost destroyed. Right when I was flustered and confused, I heard “leave!” Everything then vanished and became peaceful. I forgot about both my body and mind. There was just an expanse of tranquility and emptiness.

“After a short while, strangely enough, it seemed as if that needle was “galloping” on its own. It would shake and sensations would course up my leg and enter acupuncture points in the proper sequence of those points. At that time, my entire body felt open and unblocked. My qi-blood circulation was as free flowing as a spring stream or floating clouds. I can’t say whether it was normal consciousness or hallucination, but I felt that my whole body and mind were immersed in happiness and pleasure.

“I finally experienced the miraculous effects of the Galloping Horse Wonderful Needle. Although I am well known for always sleeping very soundly, that night I could not fall asleep. While in a state of drowsiness the next morning, I suddenly became clear-headed. I wiped my eyes and realized my illness had disappeared. The blue sky and green earth spread before my window. Full of energy, I threw myself into the new day.”

A disciple by the name of Kion Yat beseeched H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to treat him with needles. When H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III lightly applied one needle, disciple Yat did not at first feel anything. But when His Holiness began to recite a mantra and apply a mudra, disciple Yat became cold. Even ice formed on his eyebrows. His illness was immediately cured. This vajra needle is truly the king of all needles that only a Buddha possesses. Great Bodhisattva Tangtong Gyalpo Rinpoche XVI said that he personally saw the limitless power of the Galloping Horse Wonderful Needle and the incredibly high realization of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III.

The Power Of The Holy Vajra Needle

My name is Guang-Fen Fu. Since I was young, I have been physically weak and often ill. When I became an adult, my mother told me, “Daughter! You have had a weak constitution since you were young. Go and learn medicine. This will be good for your health, and you will not become weary through exerting too much physical strength.”

In 1958, I began following a teacher to learn traditional Chinese medicine. Because my illnesses resulted from the power of karma accumulated through many lifetimes and eons, my illnesses did not decrease as my knowledge of medicine and my experience in practicing medicine grew. Disease constantly followed me wherever I went.

In 1978 and the following few years, I suffered from a gastric ulcer in which most of my stomach hemorrhaged. During that time, I also discharged blood when going to the bathroom and vomited blood. In 1981, I had no choice but to undergo surgery to cut out most of my stomach. My health was even worse after the surgery. My food intake lessened, my face became pale, I spoke without any vigor, my spirit was weak, my movements were slow, and I often could not go to work.

As result of the care and assistance given to me by a friend, in 1987 I met my respected Buddha Master, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu Holiest Tathagata. When His Holiness learned of my sufferings from illness and my strained financial circumstances, His Holiness showed immense compassion and concern. His Holiness treated me with the holy vajra needle. H.H. Buddha Master asked me to show His Holiness the acupuncture point on my foot called zu san li. My respected Buddha Master then squatted down and applied that needle to me. After the needle was applied, my respected Buddha Master then said, “Pay attention! I will now apply my dharma power.”

When my respected Buddha Master then put his hands into a mudra before me, I immediately began to feel numbness, a swelling sensation, and pain. My whole body emitted heat, and I was slightly perspiring. When my respected Buddha Master heard me repeatedly scream in pain, His Holiness released his hands from that mudra. I instantly felt that the numbness, swelling, and pain that I had just experienced had disappeared. The only thing I felt was a relaxed and comfortable feeling that my body had never before experienced. My respected Buddha Master then said, “This needle was used to open your energy channels and chakras. You are too anemic.”

At that time, I had not yet become a Buddhist or learned Buddhism. My respected Buddha Master treated me and all other living beings as his own family members, equally lending them a helping hand out of great compassion. In 1988, I knew that I wanted to convert to and learn Buddhism in order to leave suffering, attain happiness, and walk the path leading to accomplishment in the dharma and liberation from the cycle of reincarnation.

After following H.H. Buddha Master, my health has improved day by day, my complexion is ruddy, my spirit is clear, my voice is resonant, and I walk with vigor. I gradually understood just how magnificent H.H. Buddha Master is. I also came to gradually comprehend the realness of the Buddha-dharma. Those who see me now say, “You have totally changed in the last two years. You don’t look so frail as you did before.” What they found most difficult to believe is that I returned from my trip to the plateaus of Tibet and Qinghai, which are places that lack oxygen, without any adverse health effects.

Because I received H.H. Buddha Master’s teachings and empowerment, I advanced in the area of medicine. I took a countywide test and was the first to receive a certificate of qualification as a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine. I took provincial and municipal tests and obtained certificates qualifying me as a “doctor-in-charge” who practices traditional Chinese medicine. The hospital put a sign up for me that read “expert outpatient service.” My patients have increased day by day. I have cured patients near and far of their difficult and complicated illnesses. As a result, I have a bit of fame in the local area where I live. Everything that I have is due to the teachings and empowerment that the Buddha Master bestowed upon me after I began learning Buddhism. The kindness and grace H.H. Buddha Master conferred upon me are as enormous as a mountain. Each and every bit of his kindness and grace is indelibly etched in my heart.

I remember one day around the year 1989. Zi-Fang Liu, a disciple of my respected Buddha Master, went to the home of my respected Buddha Master in the Nanxin District of Xindu. She beseeched my respected Buddha Master to save her. She said that her illness has lasted many years, that it is acutely painful, and that she is about to collapse. She had been to all of the major hospitals in China and had spent a lot of money, all to no avail. I saw that her complexion was unnaturally dark and that her whole body was rigid. She constantly complained about her unbearable pain.

Then, she suddenly fell to the ground and did not get up. She looked ghastly pale. My respected Buddha Master immediately treated her with the holy vajra needle in order to empower her. Because she was in a state of shock, she did not have any reaction when the needle was applied. After a short while, Sister Liu regained consciousness, stood up, and stated she was no longer in pain.

Every time I saw the wonders of my respected Buddha Master’s holy vajra needle, I had an even greater desire to learn how to apply that holy needle. One day I said to my respected Buddha Master, “Respected Buddha Master, teach me how to apply that amazing needle so that I may cure more patients.” My respected Buddha Master said to me in a soft tone of voice, “Guang-Fen, your powers are insufficient. Let’s put that matter aside for the time being.” One time I saw Hsi Jao Ken Ten Rinpoche, who is from Taiwan, also ask my respected Buddha Master to teach him how to apply that amazing needle. My respected Buddha Master replied, “Your powers are insufficient. Let’s put that matter aside for the time being.”

I later learned that the source of the effectiveness of the holy vajra needle is my respected Buddha Master’s state of realization and virtue and the power of his merit. With a holy mind of enlightenment and great compassion, His Holiness assists living beings with physical illnesses, psychological illnesses, as well as living beings who are suffering due to the power of karma. Furthermore, His Holiness constantly and compassionately empowers living beings through his teachings, thereby enabling them to extricate themselves from suffering and find the key to curing and preventing disease.

I have followed H.H. Buddha Master for more than ten years. I, Guang-Fen, have evolved from a person who did not understand anything about learning Buddhism and self-cultivation to a Buddhist disciple striving to integrate wisdom, compassion, and skillful means and a person striving to be selfless. Based upon empowerment from my respected Master’s practice and from the lineage of great masters throughout generations, a type of merit of the fruit of Buddhahood exerts its influence, causing Buddhist disciples to walk the path toward liberation and accomplishment in the dharma. With the incomparable kindness and empowerment of my respected Buddha Master, Buddhist disciples give rise to bodhicitta and strive to enlighten themselves and others. The compassion, care, and protection my respected Buddha Master bestows upon his disciples and all living beings cannot be described in words. To know what I am saying, you have to experience it yourself.

I deeply feel that the kindness and grace shown to me by my Buddha Master is difficult to repay. All that I can do is resolve to be a disciple of the Buddha in all of my future lives and devoutly and respectfully turn to and rely upon the eternal Buddha Master. Only a Buddha Master can lead Buddhist disciples out of the bitter sea of reincarnation and lead them toward liberation, accomplishment in the dharma, ending of the cycle of birth and death, becoming a Buddha, saving other living beings, undertaking the cause of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and repaying the kindness of the Buddhas.

This year I have passed sixty-five years of age. What I have written above is my own true personal experience. I have not lied. If what I wrote above contains lies, I am willing to descend into the Avici Hell (hell of uninterrupted suffering). If what I wrote above is true, I offer the merit of this writing to my magnificent Buddha Master who is like my father and mother. I also dedicate such merit to all of my vajra Brothers and Sisters so that they attain enlightenment soon, and to all sentient beings on the six paths of reincarnation. Amitabha!

The Holy Needle of the Ancient Buddha Healed My Tumor

Around 1987, I inadvertently discovered pink spots that had grown on the surface of the skin of my left armpit. Underneath those spots was a small, hard lump. I did not pay any attention to it at first, nor did I go to a doctor for treatment. This situation continued for two years. I then began to feel a kind of malaise, which soon spread throughout my entire body. Once when I was chatting with a friend, that friend urged me to see a doctor. Still, I could not think of any reason to do that.

One day I saw on the wall of a hospital some posters relating to lymph-gland tumors and realized that my physical condition was similar to what was described in those posters. The tumor under my armpit had already swollen to around the size of a $50 Taiwan coin (the size of an American silver dollar) and had changed from pink to dark red. Although I became quite flustered about this, I did not have the courage to go to the hospital again to have a more detailed examination performed. I knew very clearly that I would not be able to withstand such a blow since I had just undergone major surgery to remove a tumor on my uterus. Therefore, I simply endured my situation silently and dared not tell anyone about it.

Due to the coming together of karmic conditions, I began chatting with a friend about the surgery I had to remove a tumor on my uterus. With no particular intent in mind, I also mentioned the abnormal condition of my armpit. After my friend heard this, my friend wanted to introduce to me a supreme Buddha Master who could help cure my illness. At that time I did not know the identity of the Buddha Master. I only knew that His Holiness was a great international master of noble character. Without any doubts in my mind, I accompanied that friend of mine to the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province in mainland China so as to pay a formal visit to that supreme Buddha Master. I had the good fortune of meeting the Buddha Master after waiting more than ten days. The Buddha Master asked me what brought me to Chengdu. I immediately told the Buddha Master the purpose of my visit. The Buddha Master then very compassionately said, “All right, all right. It will go away and be fine.”

The Buddha Master took an ordinary silver acupuncture needle so as to begin curing my illness. His Holiness said that if in a moment I felt sensations of swelling or pain, I should tell His Holiness. I then saw the Buddha Master’s mouth moving as His Holiness recited a mantra. The Buddha Master then inserted the needle into an acupuncture point between the thumb and index finger on my left hand and gave a puff. At this time I felt blood coursing through all parts my body, and my entire body felt swollen. The temperature of that tumor began to rise, as if it was on fire. After going through that process three separate times, the Buddha Master told me that after I return home I should continue to recite the name of the Buddha or Bodhisattva that I normally recite. I said that I recite “Namo Guan Shi Yin Pu Sa (Homage to Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva).” The Master replied, “That is fine. Go ahead and recite that Bodhisattva’s name. If you do so earnestly and sincerely, the tumor will soon leave you.”

I returned to Taiwan in a very happy state of mind. As before, I busily went about handling business matters, but I did not forget to recite that Bodhisattva’s name whenever I had spare time. After I returned to Taiwan, first thing in the morning, I looked at that tumor every day. It neither grew nor shrunk. However, about twenty days after I returned to Taiwan, I was bathing one day and suddenly thought of that red-spotted tumor on my armpit. I quickly took a look in the mirror and surprisingly discovered that the hard lump had shrunk. The original size of a $50 Taiwan coin (an American silver dollar) had shrunk to the size of a $1 Taiwan coin (an American dime).

I was so elated I wanted to jump for joy. I felt very grateful, very grateful! Those two words truly arose from the bottom of my heart as I thanked that magnificent and supreme Master. From that time on, I recited the name of that Bodhisattva even more earnestly and sincerely as a way of showing my appreciation toward that supreme Buddha Master.

However, approximately one month later, that tumor had not shrunk at all. I again began to feel somewhat anxious. Then, I heard a loud sound one evening. The red-spotted hard lump on my left armpit suddenly disappeared without a trace. Words cannot describe the excitement and gratitude I felt deep in my heart. All of the clouds under which I was living vanished at once! I later took refuge in that magnificent Buddha Master Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu Holiest Tathagata. Seventeen years have now passed, and I am physically healthier and mentally happier than I was when I was young!

All that I have stated above is true! If there is anything fabricated in it, I am willing to descend into the vajra hell! If what I have stated are true words, I dedicate all of the resulting merit to all living beings in the dharma realm!

The Achievements in Inner Realization Vidya

by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the true incarnation of the primordial Buddha. Buddha’s Inner Realization Vidya is unbounded and infinite, which is Buddha’s natural realization capacity. Such an immense realization capacity can only be understood by the Buddhas of ten directions. We ordinary people cannot really know much about it, except that we can see that it is as deep, profound, immense, and infinite as the universe when looking at the holy miracles that are practically demonstrated by the Buddha. Sakyamuni Buddha has once revealed the treasured imperial palace on the tip of a hair, or so we are told when reading the Buddhist sutras. What a scene that must have been! We can only yearn for it, but we cannot see it in person. However, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, with His great compassion for all living beings, manifests innumerable holy miracles of wonderful state in the present time. All of us Buddhist practitioners who have the karmic affinity and a pious heart can have the fortune to witness them and therefore know the greatness and truthfulness of Buddha Dharma!

What is listed below are only some real examples. They are all the true Buddhist holy miracles that H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has manifest. Many Buddhist disciples have witnessed them in person and sworn. From these examples, one can clearly know that the realization capacity of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is that of a Buddha. No one else in the entire Saha World can reach His level!

  1. Buddhas bestowing Amrites instance I: On the Buddha’s Birthday in 2001, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (known as Great Dharma King Yange Yishi Norbu at that time) held three Dharma assemblies and invited Limitless Life Buddha (Amitayus Buddha, 長壽佛) and Jewel-Born Buddha of South (Ratnasambhava Buddha, 南方寶生佛) to separately bestowed Amrites inside the dharma bowl, which were wondrous and miraculous beyond compare. The Amrites and shariras quickly piled up and, within 20 seconds, formed a two-foot-tall dharma pillar that is large on the top and small on the bottom. Over 200 Buddha’s Shariras of many colors flew around with the Amrites in the air and fell on the dharma pillar. The venerable elder monk Wuming, Losang Zhenzhu Rinpoche, Shi Longhui, the venerable elder monk Yizhao, and several hundred Buddhist disciples were present to witness it.
  2. Buddhas bestowing Amrites instance II: On an auspicious day in the early twenty-first century, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III administered a Dharma Assembly in Los Angeles, USA. Buddhist disciple Shi Longhui personally washed clean a purple-gold copper bowl and put a cover on it. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III then practiced the Dharma. After a while, several streaks of red light shone from the sky and shot into the bowl. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III announced at that time that Amitabha Buddha had arrived in person. People immediately went outdoors and saw Amitabha Buddha walking in steps on lotus flowers in the air. When the Dharma Bowl’s cover was removed, the inside that had been washed clean and empty was now filled with true Amrites that were bestowed by the Buddha. The Amrites were bouncing in the bowl, and there was an exotic fragrance that filled the air. It is definitely not something from this world. At that time, over one hundred colorful shariras fell from the sky. That Dharma Assembly was videotaped for evidence.
  3. The Great Dharma to Restore Youth: On October 18, 2012, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III manifests himself in a depleted old man’s look after having been practicing a Dharma to shoulder the sinful karma for living beings for three months. But in order not to make Buddhist disciples lose their determination to cultivate themselves should they see it, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III reluctantly returned to youth in front of the public within ten minutes. His wrinkles completely disappeared, and His skin became smooth and shiny as if He had undergone a complete change of physical body. He turned into a young person who was handsome, majestic, and youthful. A lot of people witnessed this incredibly great Dharma in person and swore to it.
  4. Knowing In Advance and Foretelling: It was a bright, sunny day at Hotel Temozon Sur in Merida, Mexico on May 19, 2014. There was not a single bird by the water pond in the hotel. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III foretold that there would be many, many little birds gathering on the pond to dance in a few minutes, and it would start raining very hard at the same time, but the rain would not drive the birds away. Two minutes later, sure enough, many birds gathered on the water to dance, and a big rain ensued. The birds continued to dance on the water in spite of the rain. All the people who were present saw it with their own eyes and swore to it. The entire event was also videotaped for evidence.
  5. The Holy Selection of One Hundred Bright Dharma Gates in Complete Dark (百法明門黑關擇決): On a certain auspicious day in 2013, an anonymous Tremendously Holy Guru, who is a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s but would not be revealed, was invited to administer a Holy Selection of One Hundred Bright Dharma Gates in Complete Dark for Zhenda Ruzun. The high-level Great Dharma of Holy Selection in Complete Dark to make the determination for the dharma master is superior to the Dharma of Inquiry by Flying the Paper Pieces (飛籤問訊), Holy Selection by way of Marnyi Stones (瑪尼石擇決), or Holy Selection by Vajra (金剛擇決). That Dharma Assembly determined the status of Zhenda Ruzun. In the Dharma Assembly, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III also performed the Dharma of Knowing in Advance and Foretelling for that anonymous Tremendously Holy Guru. He precisely and without an error foretold three times. Several hundred people witnessed that holy feat at the scene.
  6. The Dharma of Holy Fire Offering: On September 19, 2018, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III administered the great Dharma Assembly of the Holy Fire Offering at the Holy Miracles Temple in Los Angeles, USA. The Vajra Maternity Buddha (金剛佛母) arrived in person and lit the fire from the space. The flame in the caldron was raging in a split second. Many people witnessed it.
  7. The Dharma Assembly of Terma with Instant Verification (現量伏藏法會): In early 2019, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III presided over the Dharma Assembly of Terma with Instant Verification at the Holy Miracles Temple in Los Angeles, USA, in which an anonymous Yuzun, who is a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III’s and would not reveal Herself, performed the Dharma. There was one holy item, known as the Terma, among ten identically-looking items, which were wrapped with identical material in exactly the same way and covered by ten identical bowls separately. The Yuzun pointed out the Terma from the ten identical bowls precisely without an error several times consecutively. That Dharma Assembly was attended by a few hundred people who witnessed it with their own eyes.
  8. At the Holy Miracles Temple of Los Angeles, USA, on February 9, 2020, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III demonstrated His supreme physical strengths by lifting a 434.8-pound Vajra Pestle with only one hand in public. He lifted the pestle in the air for 13 seconds before placing it back down on the platform, surpassing the top strong man of the world by 59 levels! A Vajra King of Great Strength who lifts a pestle onto the platform using one hand can pass the standard by up to 30 levels and that would be considered the very top. That is, no matter what kind of a king of strong man, a Tremendously Holy Guru, an Equal Enlightenment Bodhisattva or a Marvelous Enlightenment Bodhisattva one maybe, one’s top limit is surpassing the standard by 30 levels. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, on the other hand, could lift the Vajra Pestle with a weight of 434.8 pounds, which was 59 levels over the standard, with only one hand for 13 seconds. He was truly the unprecedented Vajra King of Super Strength in this world. The Holy Virtuous Ones say that the record made by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is unprecedented, they also can foretell that it will never be repeated by anyone in the future because it is the innate quality of a Buddha.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has infinite great kindness and compassion. To benefit living beings, He also presided over uncountable holy great Dharma assemblies, in addition to the ones mentioned above. Every time when He held a holy Dharma assembly, the corresponding Dharma purpose of the Dharma assembly was always fulfilled perfectly, and Dakinis, Dharma-guarding Deities, Yidam(s), Great Bodhisattvas and/or Buddha(s) always arrived at the scene in person and manifest corresponding holy miracles to show the greatness of Buddha Dharma. These Dharma Assemblies include the Holy Dharma Assembly to Bath the Buddha (勝義浴佛法會), the Dharma Assembly to test on Establishing Mandala Over a Stone Slab (隔石建壇考試法會), the Dharma Assembly of Celebrating the East-Bound Trip of Imparting Dharma (東行說法慶典法會), the Dharma Assembly of Initiation with Bodhi Vajra Seed (菩提金剛種子灌頂法會), the Dharma Assembly of Testing on the Holy and Virtuous Ones(考聖德法會), the Dharma Assembly of State-Practice Initiation of the Horse Stable Terma (境行馬鵬伏藏灌頂法會), the Dharma Assembly of Making the Holy Daba Buqiong Pills (煉制打靶不窮丸法會), the Dharma Assembly of Making the Kadra Ande Pills (煉制卡卓安得丸法會), the Dharma Assembly of Holy Selection of Affinity by Knowing in Advance and Foretelling (先知預言擇緣法會), and so on and on. How could these Dharma Assemblies be successful, if it wasn’t for the realization capacity from a Buddha?
